Ocean Justice

I recently discovered I have been lucky enough to receive a Senior Research Fellowship from the British Academy and Leverhulme Trust. For the academic year of 2018-19, I will be taking some time out from teaching and administration to research the topic of Ocean Justice. With ever-growing threats against this precious shared resource, this is a timely and important project. I will be attempting to work up some principles to govern the exploitation of the ocean, as well as its conservation. I will also be inquiring what legitimate governance of the ocean would look like. I hope to write several papers on the topic, and if all goes well, this may be the topic of my next book.
